“Infinite opportunities” – that is the slogan of the Germany and India year 2011-2012 celebrating the 60th anniversary of Indo-German diplomatic ties. In the light of this jubilee the “Indo-German Urban Mela” was conceptualised. It is a travelling exhibition across five metropolitans in India. This exhibition showcases German companies in a unique set of modern multi-purpose pavilions. The focus of the exhibition is urban youth and city development.
The Indo-German Urban Mela in Bangalore was a huge success counting 90.000 visitors in 10 days!
There was so much chaos at the traffic junction but once you entered the Urban Mela through the white gate you were suddenly transferred into a different world. When viewing from the fabulous Palace, the bright pavilions in the grounds looked like a group of mushrooms.
The Indo-German Training Centre participated in the Urban Mela and had a desk in the pavilion of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The IGTC stall received a large number of visitors who were interested in knowing about our unique management programmes.
The IGTC Bangalore Team enjoyed the 10 days and they look forward to welcoming their first EBMP Batch as well as a new PGPBA Batch of students who will experience their infinite opportunities at IGTC.
