Intercultural Training – Rolls Royce Power Sytems – MTU India Pvt. Ltd – Pune
On 13 th November 2017, the Indo German Chamber of Commerce, Bangalore organized a one-day
intercultural training programme with MTU India Pvt. Ltd.
MTU India Pvt. Ltd just post their collaboration with Rolls Royce Power Systems in Germany
understood the key importance of acquiring intercultural competence. The training was facilitated
by Ms. Amrita Gandikota. Also, Mr. George Farthing joined the program from the IGCC Pune.
The training joined by 18 German and a few Indian employees helped them equip with strategies to
create better synergies work more efficiently with their Indian counterparts. The program was taken
forward by Mr. Clemens Kraemer from Rolls Royce Power Systems and Ms. Maneesha Pitke in Pune.
Being a highly customized training, some of the key issues that were addressed in the program were
the culture of Indian family owned business, Jain working culture in India apart from the high
context communicative style and the “Jugaad” working style of the Indian counterparts.
