On 20th July 2017, IGCC Bangalore participated in Airbus Bizlabs Take Off 2017 at the Leela Palace, Bangalore. The half a day event attended by key people in the aerospace sector and other start-up ecosystem representatives, opened with a welcome note and introduction to Airbus BizLab by Mr. Bruno Gutierres (Global Head – Airbus BizLab) followed by a pitching session of the Airbus incubated start-ups.
An insightful panel discussion on “B2B startups and their impact on various sectors” took place moderated by Mr. Siddharth Balachandran AirBus Bizlabs, Leader and was chaired by Mr. TV Mohandas Pai (Chairman – Aarin Capital), Mr. Karan Anand (Senior Assistant Vice President – Invest India), Mr. Arvind Lakshmikumar (CEO – Tonbo Imaging) and Dr. Srinivasan Dwarakanath (President – Airbus Division in India).
A discussion post lunch was specifically introduced to provide an opportunity for a brainstorming session on “Closer cooperation between Corporates and Start-ups”. The round table conference headed by the Consul General, Bangalore Ms. Margit Hellwig Boette, had start-up oriented German organizations such as Siemens Healthineers, SAP, Bosch, Bayer along with Axilor Ventures, Invest in India and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. These round-tables are projected to continue with a set agenda once in a quarter.
This was a great opportunity for IGCC, being the partner of Start-up Asia Berlin Project in Bangalore to network with the heads of the start-up ecosystems and add value to the upcoming Roadshow in October.The Indo German Chamber of Commerce, Bangalore actively seeking to establish synergies in the flourishing start-up eco-system of Bangalore was represented by Mr. Sumit Sharma, the Regional Director IGCC Bangalore along with Ms. Amrita Gandikota.
