The world-class faculty at IGTC personify what it means to be theoretically grounded and practically relevant, by connecting strong academic theories in the classroom to real-world examples and problems facing managers in the business world. They are not only academicians, but also industry experts who collaborate and consult with organisations, serve on corporate boards and successfully run their own companies. With intelligence and energy, these multidisciplinary trainers excel at communicating their passion for their respective fields.
Faculty adopt diverse pedagogic approaches to enhance the learning experience. Lectures, presentations, individual and group assignments, case studies and business simulations are used as teaching tools. I have been teaching students in the EBMP program at IGTC, Bangalore, over the past few years. I am glad to say that it has been a very rewarding experience, with the students participating actively in the pedagogy, and bringing their own specific corporate experience into the class room. The ability and interest shown by the students, in relating their work experience to theoretical learnings, has made the program of value to all stake holders.
I have been associated with the EBMP from its Batch one. I have enjoyed my weekend classes with the various batches, as I have always found the students eager to gain the knowledge and the information imparted to them. The program curriculum is designed so as to help the students to connect it with their day to day work. The course helps the students to enrich themselves personally and professionally, thus enabling them feel confident and well trained. Truly a course which is helping the participants to convert their conceptual knowledge to contextual behavior.
Dr. Jaishrree Desai
Teaching and learning is a two way process leading to a discovery of new thinking. It is effective only when there is a healthy interaction between the faculty and students which enriches both in profound ways. The EMBA classes brings in the high level of class participation and knowledge sharing, enriching all in the class. It has been a very satisfying and enjoyable experience due to the commitment and eagerness shown by the class.
I have been teaching Marketing Management to all IGTC- Bangalore EBMP students from the first batch (2012-13). The quality of these participants is excellent with very good grasping power. These classes have been highly interactive bringing the experience of all these participants in the class room discussions. It has been a good learning for me also since many of them have been able to relate the theoretical concepts to many of the events & situations in their own organisations. I am sure the practical knowledge they carry after this course will be invaluable especially due to the sharing of how they could apply these management principles in their businesses & companies.
