The Indo German Chamber of Commerce participated in the KHOJ, a Z Nation Labs Initiative hosted at IIIT Bangalore. Being the partners of Startup AsiaBerlin Project in Bangalore, IGCC facilitated one of the SUAB bi-monthly events through KHOJ.
KHOJ is to bring together Startups, Educational institutes, Government, Investors & mentors under one roof to understand & help the entrepreneurship flourish in India by helping startups to scale up and make a global footprint. It is a nation-wide startup competition comprising Startup Pitches, Investor Panel discussion, Fire side chat with grown startup founders, Keynote Speeches, Networking & learning.
The day at KHOJ began with a welcome address by Prof. S. Sadagopan, Director IIIT Bangalore and G. Ramachandran, Venture Partner at Z Nation Labs. The event was then addressed by Neha Jain, Director, Z Nation Labs and also one of the SUAB delegates. With over a 100 participants from various start-ups, the event progressed with Design Thinking workshops, panel discussions, start-up pitches, and one on one sessions with start-ups followed by a quick lunch.
The day concluded with a summary of StartUp AsiaBerlin highlighting the Roadshow and its diverse matchmaking possibilities for the startup eco-system representatives by Amrita Gandikota from the Indo German Chamber of Commerce. The other SUAB delegates from Bangalore Audrey D’Souza from WeCan, Dola Samanta from Yourstory Media also attended the event. Some of the other key attendees were Varadrajan K. from 100 Open Start-ups India, Abhishek Loonker – VP Ascent Capital. Manish Karlekar – Senior Director GE Digital, Deepak Agrawal – AVP Ideaspring Capital.
